Elisabeth Burton

Visitation for Elisabeth Burton, 89, of Arlington Heights, will be on Thursday, July 27, 2017 from 5:00 PM until the time of the Funeral Service, 7:00 PM at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Hwy., Palatine.  The Interment will be on Friday, July 28, 2017, 11:00 AM at Fort Sheridan Cemetery, Highwood.

Elisabeth was born in Frankleben, Germany to Josef and Anna Fichna.  She passed away on Monday, July 24, 2017 at her home surrounded by her family.

She is the beloved wife of Robert Burton, Sr, former manager of Dobby’s World Wide Liquors and Kiwanis member, whom she married on August 8, 1953.  Also survived by her two children, Betty (James) Alderson and Robert L. (Louise) Burton, Jr.; and her brother, Erwin Fichna.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings, Hildegard Korger, Erich Fichna, Johann Fichna, Wilhelmine Smith, Hermine Russ, Bernhardine Muller, and Helene Marconi.
