Visitation for Elizabeth Mary Reh, 87, formerly of Palatine will be on Monday, March 20, 2017 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Hwy., Palatine.  Family and friends will meet at the funeral home on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 for prayers at 9:30 AM.  Followed by the Funeral Mass, 10:00 AM at St. Theresa Catholic Church, 455 N. Benton St., Palatine.  Interment will follow at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine.

Elizabeth was born in County Wexford, Ireland on April 22, 1929 to Patrick and Mary (nee O’Neil) Brennan.  She passed away Friday, March 17, 2017 at JourneyCare in Arlington Heights.

Elizabeth immigrated to Chicago on the RMS Mauretania in 1953 where her older sister resided.  She married Robert K. Reh on December 1, 1956 in Chicago.  They moved to Palatine in 1959 after her son was born where she resided.  She was a loving mother and adoring grandmother.  She worked at District 15 for over 30 years and retired in 2000.

She is survived by her loving son, Bill (Shields) Reh; her granddaughter, Brennan; sister, Bridget O’Donohue; brothers, Edward Brennan & Jack “John” Brennan and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.   

Elizabeth is preceded in death by her husband; parents; sisters, Mollie Benko, Patty Breen, Eileen Galvin, Jane Frances Newman, and Kathleen Brennan; brothers, Thomas, Martin, Paddy and Michael Brennan.  

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Parkinson’s Association, 1359 Broadway, Suite 1509, New York, NY 10018 or JourneyCare Hospice, 405 Lake Zurich Road, Barrington, IL 60010.
