Estella Potsic

Visitation for Estella Potsic, 101, a lifelong resident of Cicero, will be held Friday, January 23, 2015 from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with an Eastern Star Service, 4:00 p.m., at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Highway, Palatine.  The Visitation will continue Saturday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, 337 Ridge Road, Barrington Hills, IL, 60010.  A private family interment will be Monday, January 26, 2015 at Mt. Auburn Cemetery, Stickney, Illinois.

Estella was born June 29, 1913 in McKees Rocks, Pennsylvania, and she passed away, Saturday, January 17, 2015 at home in Cicero.

She lived in the same house in Cicero for 74 years.  She was a very active member of Eastern Star.  She loved gardening and working with her hands, such as crocheting, knitting and quilting.

She was the beloved wife of the late Andrew; loving mother of Barbara (late M. Michael) Dorr, Nicholas (Nilda) Potsic, and William (Roberta) Potsic; loving grandmother of Lisa (Mick) Stine, Amie (Jordan) Romney, Cassie (Wayne) Zemke and Jordan Potsic; loving great-grandmother of Delaney and Brayden Stine, Ezra and Nadia Romney and Camille Zemke; dear daughter of the late Andrew and Mary (nee Kucher) Buschak; fond sister of Tillie (late Robert) Browne and the late Olga Hanas, Helen Peckham and Joseph, Nicholas and William Buschak.
