Evelyn L. Carlin

 

Born January 20, 1925, in Chicago, she passed Wednesday, October 18, 2023 at Inverness Health & Rehab in Inverness. Evelyn worked with her late husband, Richard (deceased 12/1/2010), in his real estate business, Beverly Hills Realty, Chicago, as a property manager and bookkeeper. Served many years at 13th Church of Christ Scientist and a member of the Mother Church in Boston, MA. Evelyn was a consummate hostess; an accomplished baker, culinary artist, pianist and singer (Sweet Adelaides). 

 

Evelyn is survived by her children Bradley (Catherine) Carlin, and Kimberly Carlin; beloved Grandma to Cassandra; beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews; step-grandmother of four; step-great grandmother of 14; and step-great great grandmother of 1. Evelyn leaves a legacy of love for everyone.

 

She is preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Louise (nee Schopf) Schreiber, husband Richard Carlin; brother Kenneth (late Mary); many beloved cousins; step-grandson Anthony.
