Evelyn E. Eckberg

A Visitation for Evelyn E. “Evie” Eckberg (nee Kammrath), 88, of Palatine, will be held Thursday, December 13, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Service, 11:30 a.m. at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Highway, Palatine. The Interment will follow, 2:00 p.m. at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, Illinois.

Evelyn was born May 7, 1930 in Chicago, IL and passed away, December 6, 2018 in Winfield, IL.

Beloved wife of the late Arthur R. Eckberg; loving mother of Paul (Teri) Eckberg and Kristin (Keith) Buck; loving grandmother of Paul Eckberg Jr. and Gus, Andrew and Teddy Buck; loving great-grandmother of Mekaili Eckberg; dear daughter of the late Edward and Ida (nee Koester) Kammrath; fond sister of Elaine Kort, and the late Harold Kammrath, the late Dorothy Baranyos, the late Skee Kammrath, the late Melvin Kammrath and the late Ronald Kammrath.

Evie was adored by her family and friends. She was the hostess with the mostess and was an accomplished cook and baker. She was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Arlington Heights.

In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated to the DuPage Care Center Foundation, 400 N. County Farm Road, Wheaton, IL, 60187.
