Frank D. Suthers

A Memorial Visitation for Frank D. Suthers, 60, of Sauk Village, will be held on Tuesday, April 11, 2023 from 3:00 pm until the time of the Memorial Service at 7:00 pm at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, Palatine. The Interment will be held privately at a later date.

The world changed for the better on November 22, 1962 when Frank entered the world. He was outgoing, charismatic, and rambunctious as a youth. As a young adult he joined the Army serving as a helicopter radio repairman while being stationed in Hawaii. This inherently led to a lifelong career with CTA; starting as a repairman and working his way up to Management. Upon retiring Frank enjoyed a VERY long list of ever changing hobbies, and spending quality time with his loved ones.

You could always count on Frank to be supportive, lend a listening ear, and make you laugh. Frank had a love of his family, animals, gaming, and enjoying life to the fullest. He was a kind and thoughtful soul, who would go to great lengths to help anyone who needed it. A quality that will be greatly missed by all that knew him.

For the past 4 years he fought a strong battle against stage 4 cancer.  Despite the odds he never quit, putting up a strong fight all the way to the very end.  Frank, the pain of losing you as a husband, father, grandfather, and friend is bitter sweet as you will forever be missed and loved; yet we find comfort in knowing that you are no longer suffering.  Frank is survived by his wife, Tammie Suthers (Grizzle); children, Michael (Shana) Suthers, Jeffrey (Tabitha) Suthers, Samantha (Tim) Allen, and Crystal (Lee) Grizzle-Jeans; grandchildren, Michael, Crystal, Luke, and Delaney. Brothers; Greg (Donna) Suthers, Rick (Tina) Suthers, Don (Vicki) Suthers, and Chris (Tia) Suthers.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Georgeann Suthers and the “best damn dog around” Kiefer.
