Gavin Douglas Eiswerth, of Lakemoor, Illinois, left this world on September 19, 2018 in search of peace. He was 14 years old.

Visitation will be held for Gavin from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Sunday, September 23, 2018 at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home at 415 S. Buesching Rd, Lake Zurich. Funeral Services will be held at 10:06 AM on Monday, September 24, 2018 at The Chapel at 330 S Old Rand Road. The Interment will be private.

Gavin is survived by his Mother and Father, Jamie and Brian Eiswerth, his Sister, Maggie Eiswerth; his Grandparents, Jim and Karla Fillinger of McHenry, IL; his Uncle, Jimmy and Aunt ,Tamara Fillinger of Lakemoor, IL; his Uncle, PJ and Aunt, Mary Beth Eiswerth of Grand Rapids, MI; his Great Grandmother, Doris Arnold of Red Bud, IL; and cousins, Dakota Fillinger, Dylan Fillinger, Callie Fillinger, Tessa Fillinger, Bennett Eiswerth and Sydney Eiswerth. He was preceded in death by his Grandparents, Paul and Barbara Eiswerth, and Great Grandfather, Bob Arnold.

Gavin was born February 2, 2004 in McHenry, IL. Eighteen months after his birth, his beloved sister came into the world. Gavin and Maggie formed an instant bond and were inseparable for many years. Gavin played the role of big brother well. Maggie most of all enjoyed his humor and his comradery. In his short life, Gavin left a lasting impression on so many with his vibrant personality. Gavin enjoyed skateboarding, BMX bikes, football, wrestling, hanging out with family and friends, and listening to music. He was artistic and often impressed people with his drawings and other artwork. Gavin will always be remembered for his courage. He is now at peace and without pain.
