George H. Neumann

A Memorial Visitation for George Hjalmer Neumann, 79, of Wisconsin Rapids, WI, formerly of Arlington Heights, will be held Wednesday, January 10, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the Memorial Service, 7:00p.m. at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Hwy., Palatine.

George was born October 15, 1938 in Evanston, IL, and passed away December 26, 2017 in Kenosha, WI.

Survivors include his former wife, Karen (nee Rohner) Neumann; children, Kelli Simons (Chris), Kevin Neumann (Amy), Kris Neumann, Kim Pape (Steve); grandchildren, Ryan, Haley, Nicole, Kendall, Wesley, Lucille, Elisha, Erika, Evan, Collin, Sydney; siblings, William Neumann and Mary Kay Marozas.

Preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Ethel (nee Marek) Neumann.

George will be remembered as a loving father and proud grandfather.  He worked hard his entire life; retired electrician for IBEW Local 134 and business owner.  He honored commitment and pursued excellence in all.  He believed in a strong core value system.  George was a sports enthusiast who pursued a legacy in coaching all sports and the many leadership roles in his local community.
