George R. Brandt

Visitation for George R. Brandt, 90, of Palatine for 50 years, will be held Thursday, June 23, 2016 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Highway, Palatine.  The visitation will continue Friday, June 24, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Service, 10:00 a.m. also at the funeral home.  An Interment will follow at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine.

George was born May 14, 1926 in Chicago and passed away Sunday, June 19, 2016 in Arlington Heights.

George was a graduate of Marmion Academy ROTC, and then went into the Army Air Corps and was a WWII Veteran.  

Beloved husband of the late Mary (nee Crane) Brandt; loving father of  Carolyn (James) Soderholm, James (Carol) Brandt, George (Carla) Brandt, Kathryn Brandt,  William (Jean) Brandt,  Richard (Susan) Brandt; loving grandfather of  Kevin Soderholm, Katie (Murray) McGough, Jaime (Marco) Flores, Elliot Brandt, Jason Brandt, Mindy (Sean) Deneault, George Brandt, Austin Boehle, late Amanda, Jennifer Brandt, Tyler Brandt, Kyle Brandt and Ryan Brandt; loving great-grandfather of A.J. Soderholm, Leah McGough, Leanna, Joseph and Roman Flores; dear son of the late George and Marie (nee Slesinger) Brandt; also surviving his very dedicated longtime caregiver, Sandra Estrada.
