George Vingan Jr.

Visitation for George Vingan Jr., 85, will be held from 10:00am until 1:00pm Friday, February 23, 2018 at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 415 S. Buesching Rd, Lake Zurich.  The Interment to be private.

George passed-away peacefully on February 19, 2018 at Advocate Condell Hospital in Libertyville, IL.  He was born in Chicago to the late George and Anna (nee Philmanescu) Vingan on April 15, 1932.

He was a resident of Prairie View, Illinois for 56 years.  He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Dolores Vingan, (nee Thorson) along with his sons, George III (Roxanne), Greg (Kim) and daughter Valerie (Reid) Franzese.  He was an adored grandfather to George IV, James, Brittany, Jacquelyn and the late Joshua, great-grandfather to 6.  He was predeceased by his brother, Philip, in 1994.

George worked for Commonwealth Edison for 36 years and upon his retirement he found time to travel, enjoy life and watch his family grow.  He was deeply loved and he will be missed beyond description.
