George W. Nicholas

The Visitation for George W. Nicholas, 87, longtime resident of Hawthorn Woods, will take place on Friday, May 22, 2015 from 5:00PM until 9:00PM with Panikhida Service, 7:00PM at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 415 S. Buesching Road, Lake Zurich.  Services will be held at 10:00AM  on Saturday, May 23, 2015 at Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church,  1449 N. Quentin Road, Palatine with the Very Reverend Alexander Kuchta officiating.  An Interment will follow at Elmwood Cemetery, River Grove.

George was born on October 18, 1927 the son of the late Hosea and Tina (nee Duncan) Nicholas and passed away on Tuesday, May 19, 2015.

George was the beloved husband of the late Elizabeth (nee Walters) Nicholas; loving father of Michael (Nadege) Nicholas and Neal (Colleen) Nicholas; cherished grandfather of Tyler, Ethan and Ksenia Nicholas; dear brother of Howard (late Nieta) Nicholas, Marvin (Barbara) Nicholas, Lorena (late Ron) Haught and the late William and the late Lillian Nicholas; also survived by many nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends.
