Gerard J. “Jerry” Heinrichs

The Visitation for Gerard Joseph “Jerry” Heinrichs, 68, a resident of Palatine since 1975, will be held on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Hwy., Palatine, from 3:00PM until 8:00PM.  A Broken Arrow Ceremony will be presented at 7:00PM by the Signal Hill Chapter of the Lakota Lodge, Order of the Arrow.  Funeral Services will continue Thursday, December 4, 2014, 11:00AM also at the funeral home.  Graveside Interment Services are scheduled for 11:00AM on Saturday, December 6, 2014 at Donoho Prairie Cemetery in Texico, IL.

Born on July 28, 1946 in East St. Louis, IL the son of the late Wilson Joseph and Florence Catherine (nee Reding) Heinrichs and passed away on Sunday, November 30, 2014.

Prior to Jerry’s retirement he had worked as a commercial lending officer with The Northern Trust Co.  Jerry had been actively involved with numerous organizations including Shelter Inc. of Arlington Heights, for which he served as a board member, Boy Scouts of America, for more than 20 years, including Troop #188 of Palatine and PEMA.  Jerry also was a U.S. Army Veteran.

Jerry was the beloved husband of 42 years of Lynn (nee Umbaugh) Heinrichs; loving father of Katie, Amy and Pete (Fiancé Erin Pierce) Heinrichs; grandfather of Alayna Bagwell; cousins Pat (the late Jerry) Raupp and Helen (Shawn) Pfaff.
