Gloria D. Mehl

A Memorial Visitation for Gloria D. Mehl, 83, a resident of Arlington Heights since 1961, will be held on Friday, July 11, 2014 from 3:00PM until the time of the Memorial Service, 6:00PM at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Hwy., Palatine.  The Interment will be private.

Gloria was born on March 3, 1931 in Hammond, IN the daughter of the late Allen and Florence nee: Skiles Domke and passed away on Monday, July 7, 2014.

Some of the things Gloria will be remembered for include being an avid bowler and enjoying bowling with her Wednesday morning bowling league, her love of gardening and doing crossword puzzles.  She was also a former member of the Arlington High School Band Boosters.  Most important in Gloria’s life was the love and care she had for her family and especially her grandchildren.

Gloria was the beloved wife of the late Lewis J. Mehl; loving mother of Susan (Steve) Jones; cherished grandmother of Stephanie and Aaron Jones; dear sister of Mary Beth (late Ira) Hirsch; fond aunt of Lynn Hirsch.

In lieu of flowers, memorials, in memory of Gloria, would be appreciated for the charity of the donor’s choice.
