Gregory L. Stratton

A Service for Mr. Gregory L. Stratton, 65, of Barrington, will be held at a later date.

Greg was an avid fan of baseball for his entire life. He most enjoyed watching his two sons play all the way through their adult life. When it came to professional sports, he was a fan of the Chicago White Sox and Chicago Bears. He will be missed for the family time that meant so much to him and his generous heart.

Greg shared such a strong passion to teach Scott and Steven everything he knew, something that they will always cherish as brothers. Whether it stemmed from teaching life lessons, or working on improving their game on the baseball field, he was always more than willing to spend his time with his children. Reminiscing about their childhood memories of camping, watching Friday night movies and famed Christmas lights decorations is something that they will always remember. He was a tremendously hard worker, and would always put his family first, before thinking of himself.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years Joanne (nee Taylor); Sons Steven Stratton and Scott Stratton; Cousin Mary Skowronski and her children Paul, Todd, Dyan and Marc; and many friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents Ray and Pat (nee Fox) Stratton.
