H. William Ploger

Visitation for H. William Ploger, 53, of Arlington Heights, IL, will be held from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM, on Tuesday, May 16, 2023, at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Hwy., Palatine.  On Wednesday, May 17, 2023, the Visitation will resume at Saint Luke Church, 1500 West Belmont Avenue, Chicago, IL, at 10:30 AM until the time of the Funeral Service at 11:00 AM. The Interment will follow at Saint Luke Cemetery, Chicago.

William Ploger left this life suddenly on May 10, 2023. Truly Beloved husband of Suzanne (Kleisch) Ploger; Devoted father to Katarina and Krista Ploger; Treasured son of Kathleen Ploger and son-in-law to Robert and Kathryn Kleisch; Cherished brother to the late David (the late Theresa) Ploger and Jared (Monica) Ploger; Loving uncle to Melanie (Nick) Santarelli, Karl Ploger, Alex Ploger, and Aiden Ploger and Great Uncle to Dominic, Ella, Dean, and Niygel.

Will was born on January 8, 1970, in Eau Claire, WI to the late Harry and Kathleen (Diercks) Ploger.  Will and Suzy married on June 28, 1997, in Chicago.  Will was a committed fan of the Chicago White Sox and Pittsburgh Steelers, a true music lover – especially of the band Rush and had an insatiable curiosity of technology as well as for continuous learning of computer languages.

Will served in his community by being elected as an Arlington Heights Park District Board Commissioner for two terms from 2013-2021.
