Harry S. Kolios

Visitation for Harry S. Kolios, 81, of Lake Zurich, will be from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Thursday, October 19, 2017 at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 415 S. Buesching Road, Lake Zurich.  The Trisayion Service will be given at 6:00 pm by Father Peter Balkas.  The Funeral Service will also be officiated by Father Peter Balkas, and will be held on Friday, October 20, 2017 at St. Nectarios Greek Orthodox Church, 133 S. Roselle Road, Palatine, at 9:00 am.  The Interment will take place in St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine.

Harry was a quiet and sweet man who lived his life simply. He never had an unkind word for anyone and had uncompromising integrity and work ethic. He and his wife built a life together and owned several businesses. They enjoyed a beautiful 55-year love story.

Harry was born to Stavros and Angeliki Kolios on June 17, 1936 in Greece and passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at his home in Lake Zurich, IL.

He was the beloved husband of Theodora; proud father of Steve, Sophia (Jim), and Linda (Scott) and adoring grandfather to Claire, Marissa, and Clayton.  He is also survived by his siblings, sisters Chris (Tom), Sotiria, and Amalia and brother Vasili (Maria). Harry was also the favorite uncle to many of his nieces and nephews here in the US as well as in Canada and Greece.  He will be missed by all who had the opportunity to know him.
