Haskell Lee “Buddy” Wilson

Visitation for Buddy Wilson, 69, a resident of Palatine since 1980, formerly of Yuma, Arizona, will be held on Sunday, August 23, 2015 from 3:00PM to 8:00PM at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Hwy., Palatine.  Funeral Services for will be held,11:00AM on Monday, August 24, 2015 also at the funeral home.  Officiating will be the Reverend David O. Kyllo.  An Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Barrington.

Buddy was born on April 8, 1946 in Tucson, AZ the son of the late Haskell Lee Sr. and Francis Lucinda (nee Decker) Wilson and passed away unexpectedly at home on Wednesday, August 19, 2015.

Buddy was a U.S. Army Veteran having served in Vietnam and was a Purple Heart recipient. Most important in Buddies life was the love he had for his family and friends.  He will be deeply missed by all.

Beloved husband of Gale (nee Hubbard) Wilson; loving father of Landy (Jay) Headley, Amanda (Jeff) Collins, Sierra (Dan) Elia, Nichol (Tim) Drews, Latisia Hefflin, Randi (Marco Ayala) Wilson and Jessica (Mark) Olmstead; cherished grandfather of Layne, Brooklyn,  Aidan, Vivian, Carson, Donovan, Abigail,  Laila, Jack,  Arianna and Luke; dear brother of Tena (late George) Hoey, Wayne (Sandra) Wilson, Bradley (late Betty) Wilson, Russell (Bonnie) Wilson and Desra (Wayne) Crockett; also surviving many nieces, nephews and so many other loving family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to Buddy’s Family are appreciated.
