Helen I. Stankus

Visitation for Helen I. Stankus, 91, of Port Barrington and a former longtime resident of Wheeling, will be held Sunday, February 14, 2016, from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 415 S. Buesching Road, Lake Zurich.  Funeral Services will begin, 10:30 a.m. Monday, February 15, 2016 also at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, Lake Zurich.  The Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery, Des Plaines.

Helen was born July 16, 1924 in Chicago and passed away peacefully at home, Thursday, February 11, 2016.

Beloved wife of the late Anthony “Tony” Stankus; loving and cherished mother of Irene Donahue; loving grandmother of Jenny (Mike) and the late Matt (Diana); loving great-grandmother of Ethan, Meara, Willow and Olive; dear daughter of the late Matthew and Sadie (nee Raymond) O’Rourke; fond sister of Terry (Mary) and the late Ray (Natalie), Loren and Annette; aunt to many nieces and nephews.
