Hugo “Pete” Philippe

Visitation for Hugo “Pete” Philippe, 94, a resident of Palatine since 1932, will be held at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Hwy., Palatine, form 4:00PM until 9:00PM on Thursday, December 11, 2014.  The Funeral Service will be at 10:30AM Friday, December 12, 2014 also at the funeral home.  An Interment will follow at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine.

Pete was born on June 18, 1920 in Rockford, IL the son of the late Herman and Katie (nee Natta) Philippe and passed away on Monday, December 8, 2014.

Pete was a plumber, fisherman, bowler and boat owner. A talented roller skater and dangerous Polka dancer and had also boxed with C.Y.O and was a recipient of the Golden Gloves Award.  Pete was awarded honors while serving in the U.S. Navy during WWII in the Pacific Theatre.

Beloved husband of the late Helen A.N. (Larimore) Philippe; loving father of Katherine E. A. Philippe, Georgia A. Philippe, Maggie Maloney and Dixie Jo (Michael) Jarchow; dear grandfather of Grant (Dana) Threlfall, Michael Maloney, Nona (James) Waller, Timothy Maloney, Michael Jarchow and the late Van Jarchow; great grandfather of Gorden and Kyleigh Threlfall, Alex and Katherine Waller; fond brother of Herman (Connie) Philippe and the late Alfred (late Lillian) Philippe.

In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated for the Buddy Foundation, 65 W. Seegers Road, Arlington Heights, IL  60005 or to Rainbow Hospice and Palliative Care, 1550 Bishop Court, Mt. Prospect, IL  60056.
