Ivy Ramser Johannesen

Visitation for Ivy Ramser – Johannesen of Arlington Heights, formerly of Palatine ,will be held on Sunday, March 2, 2014 from 3:00PM until 7:00PM at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Hwy., Palatine.  Funeral Services will be on Monday, March 3, 2014, 11:00am at the First United Methodist Church of Palatine, 123 N. Plum Grove Road, Palatine, IL 60067 with the Reverend Michael Morris officiating.  The Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Arlington Heights.

Ivy was born on April 28, 1928 in Kulm, ND the daughter of the late Max and Marie (nee Gackle) Lay and passed away on Wednesday, February 26, 2014.

Ivy had been an active member for more than 60 years of the First United Methodist Church of Palatine. She was also a member of P.E.O. Chapter EP of Palatine.

Ivy Ramser – Johannesen was the beloved wife of John B. Johannesen and the late Dr. William Ramser Sr.; loving mother of Pamela Ramser, Deborah Kenny and William (Laura) Ramser, Jr.; children of her husband John, John (Patty), Larry (Dana) and Jim (Diana) Johannesen; cherished grandmother of Christopher (Liz) Kenny, Lily (Lou Garcia) Erdahl, Kelly Kenny, Colbin (Jen) Erdahl, Michael Ramser, John C. (Tara) and Jason (Rosa) Johannesen, Amy (Andrew) Sivertsen, Kate (Matt) Rapata, Kristi (Jim) Watrach, Kayla (Evan) Erwin, Chad (Francine) Johannesen and Regan (Marty) Toma; great grandmother of 19.

In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated, in memory of Ivy, for the First United Methodist Church of Palatine.
