Jack R. Stout

Memorial Visitation for Jack Roland Stout of Melrose Park, IL for 55 years, will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2014 from 9:00am until the time of The Celebration of Life Service, 11:00am at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Highway, Palatine.

Jack, under hospice care, died in his sleep on Wednesday, July 30th, 2014 at Manor Care in Elk Grove Village.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Barbara J. Stout to whom he would have been married to for 60 years in November of this year; his loving children Michael (Elizabeth), Kathleen (Richard) Stanislawski, Glenn (Cheryl) and Keith (Heather) Stout; grandfather to 12 cherished grandchildren.  Jack is also survived by his sister Jeanne (the late Edward) Hoida.  Preceded in death by his sister; Phyllis McAfee and brother; Glen Stout.

Jack was born in 1929 in Berwick, PA and was 85 years old at the time of his passing.

An Air Force Veteran, he worked at Ace Metal Crafts for almost 40 years and was proud to have been inducted into the 16″ Softball Hall of Fame.  A longtime member of the River Forest United Methodist Church and was an active member of the CHIP Computer Club.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in memory of Jack, would be appreciated to the family, to be donated to several of Jack’s favorite charities.
