James D. Vetter

Memorial visitation for James D. Vetter, 53, a resident of Palatine for more than 30 years, will be held on Sunday March 2, 2014 from 2:00PM until the time of the Memorial Service, 6:00PM at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Hwy., Palatine.  The Interment will be private.

Jim was born on January 28, 1961 in Arlington Heights, IL the son of the late Harold and Jean (nee: Nerge) Vetter and passed away, unexpectedly, on Friday, February 21, 2014.

Some of the things Jim will be remembered for are being an avid Chicago White Sox Fan, his love of cooking and having a deep love of his family.  Jim cared for all those around him and was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need.

Jim is survived by his beloved wife of 30 years, Melinda “Mindy” (nee: Majus) Vetter; loving children Sarah and Ryan Vetter; his siblings Gail Calkins, John (Chris) Vetter, Carol (John) Buncik and Bob Vetter; his mother in law Marilyn Majus; also survived by many nieces and nephews and many other loving family and friends.
