James H. Diehl

Visitation for James Hutchin Diehl, 79, of Cary, formerly of Palatine, will be held Tuesday, May 23, 2023, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 1190 N. Hicks, Palatine.  The Interment will be private.

James was born September 4, 1943, in St. Louis, Missouri, and he passed away, Thursday, May 18, 2023, in Barrington, Illinois.

James was the beloved husband of Patricia A. Diehl (nee Perkins); loving father of Adam (Stephanie) Diehl, Philip (Anna) Diehl and Libby (Steve) Taylor-Willenbrink; loving grandfather of Matthew Diehl, Mason Diehl, Kallie Diehl, Emmie Diehl, Mia Renert, Sean Renert, Benjamin Diehl and Colin Taylor, dear son of the late Earl and Beatrice (nee Hutchin) Diehl; fond brother of the late Thomas (Judith) Diehl, and late Robert (late Loretta) Diehl.

James was an avid golfer, enjoyed bike riding, and watching golf and Chicago Sports teams on television.  James also loved to travel with family and friends and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
