Visitation for James Joseph Studenic, 87, of Lake Zurich and formerly of Naperville since 1972, will be held Wednesday, January 20, 2016 from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 415 S. Buesching Road, Lake Zurich. Prayers will begin 9:30 a.m., Thursday, January 21, 2016 also at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, Lake Zurich, and proceed to St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 33 S. Buesching Road, Lake Zurich, for the Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. Father David Ryan will officiate. An Interment will follow in Ss. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Naperville, IL.
James was born Thursday, October 4, 1928 in Bellaire, Ohio, and he passed away Thursday, January 14, 2016 in Lake Zurich.
James worked for Cummins Engine Company for nearly 40 years and he served our country in the occupational forces in Japan during WWII. Later on after retirement he went to work in real estate for Century 21, part time in Naperville. Member of the Knights of Columbus, Queen of Peace Council.
Beloved husband of the late Mary Ann (nee Hart) Studenic; loving father of Carol A. (David) Schelonka and the late Scott James Studenic; loving grandfather of Amanda, Andrew, Anna and Catherine Schelonka; dear son of the late Martin and Anna (nee Masarik) Studenic; fond brother of Martin Studenic and the late Stephen and Joseph Studenic.
Memorials will be appreciated, in his memory, to the American Heart Association, www.heart.org., or to the Alzheimer’s Association, www.alz.org.
