Jane Powell

Visitation for Jane  Powell , 66, of Arlington Heights for 17 years, will be held Saturday, September 23, 2017 From 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Service, 11:00 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 200 N. Plum Grove Road, Palatine, Il 60067.  An Interment will follow in Randhill Park Cemetery, Arlington Heights.

Jane was born December 9, 1950 in Elgin, and passed away September 19, 2017 at home.

Beloved wife of Myles Powell, loving mother of Shannon Powell, Ryan Powell and Glendon Powell; dear daughter of the late Robert And Viola (nee Theis) Douglas; fond sister of Christine (Larry) Gyuricza; dear aunt of Jordan, Benjamin and Zach Gyuricza.

Memorials will be appreciated to Immanuel Lutheran Church, or to Lutheran Church Charities, 3020 Milwaukee Ave., Northbrook, IL 60062.

Jane left this Earth to live for Eternity in her Heavenly Home. She fought long and hard against her nemesis, cancer. Throughout it all, she leaned on her faith in Christ as her savior and redeemer and her light only grew brighter and more magnificent. She loved life and her family deeply and abundantly. She was simply too good for this earth. On September 19, after one last kiss from her prince, she breathed her last human breath and went to her heavenly home. Cancer has died, but she lives forever.
