Jay W. Landwer

Visitation for Jay Willis Landwer, 79, of McHenry will be on Wednesday, August, 19, 2015 from 3:00 PM until the time of Military Honors, 7:00 PM at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 415 S. Buesching Rd, Lake Zurich.  A private interment will be held at a later date.

Jay was born in Lake Zurich on February 29, 1936 to Willis and Emma Landwer.  He passed away on Friday, August 14, 2015 surrounded by his family.

Jay served his country in the United Sates Navy during the Korean War.  He will be remembered as a very compassionate man who enjoyed pulling pranks on everyone.  Jay was a very social man who was friends to everyone.

Jay was the beloved husband of the late, Ann Paula Landwer whom he married November 9, 1957.  He is the loving father of Scott (Collette) Landwer and Dawn (Bernedette) Landwer; devoted grandfather of Taylor Anne, and caring brother of Nancy Metzger.
