Jeanette D. Jones

Services and interment were private for Jeanette D. Jones, of Palatine, IL, recently of Olympia Fields.

She was born to John and Florence Mazur on July 9, 1928 and graduated from Thornton Township High School, Harvey, IL in 1946.  Jeanette married Robert Earl Jones on Halloween, 1953.

Jeanette worked for the Union oil Company, now part of Chevron for over 30 years.  She enjoyed traveling, particularly to tropical locations in Mexico and the Caribbean.

Jeanette’s parents, sister Lucille (Lawton) Lamb, and her husband Bob preceded her in death. She is survived by her sister, Irene M. Engels of Beecher, IL; brother-in-law, Lawton Lamb of Lisle, IL; niece, Kathleen (Kenneth) Johnson of Crete, IL  and nephew, Theodore (Barbara) Engels, of Lowell, IN. In addition, she is survived by seven great nieces and nephews.
