Jeanne Lois Wendt, 59, passed away on Thanksgiving morning, November 28, 2013, with her family by her side, after a difficult 4 month battle with Glioblastoma Grade IV Brain Cancer.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, December 7, 2013, at Lindy”s Landing in Wauconda, IL. Internment will be private.
Jeanne was born December 18, 1953 in Libertyville, IL, to Frank and Norma Randall. The fourth of five children, Jeanne enjoyed a very unique and special childhood growing up as a member of the Randall Family, within the community of Forest Lake. As an adult she married and stayed in that neighborhood where she continued to live until November 17, 2013 when she was admitted to JourneyCare Inpatient Hospice Facility in Barrington. Jeanne drove the school bus for Lake Zurich School District #95 for 30 years and taught Sunday school at St. Peter church in Lake Zurich, and she loved what she did with all the greatness of her heart. Jeanne will always be remembered as being very soft spoken, kind, generous, giving, loving, gentle and sweet. Always sharing her beautiful smile with all of those around her and bringing her sunshine and warmth into the lives of others. The void she has left behind is expansive, and saying that Jeanne will be deeply missed is simply not enough.
Jeanne was the loving Mother of Megan (née Wendt)(Anthony) VerPlancke and Randall (fiance Jackie Freson) Wendt; loving grandmother of Coraline and Cullen VerPlancke; dear daughter of the late Frank B. and Norma R. (née Stevens) Randall; fond sister of Frank (Gail) Randall, Frances (née Randall)(Denny) Stites, Janice(née Randall) (Charles) Kirby and Debra (nee Randall)(Joe) Chapa.
The Family would like to extend their fondest gratitude to all of those who gave of themselves and came out to J.J. Twigs on October 22 to support Jeanne and her family!!! Thank You from the bottom of our hearts!!!
