Jeannine M. Lewandowski

Visitation for Jeannine M. Lewandowski, 76, of Inverness, will be held on Friday, March 31, 2023, from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Highway, Palatine. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, April 1, 2023, at 10:00 am, also at the funeral home. The Interment will follow at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Cemetery, Palatine.

Jeannine passed away peacefully on March 26, 2023.

She is survived by her three children. Daughters, Donya Turasky of Bartlett, IL, Jennifer (Josh) Pazour of Dubai and her son, Matthew (Mandy) Lewandowski of Barrington, IL.  As well as her six grandchildren: Tyler (Natalie), Katie, Victoria, Vivica, Indira, and Natasha. Jeannine was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother who cherished spending time with her family and friends. She loved her time up at the lake house in Wisconsin being surrounded by loved ones, playing pranks on everyone and just enjoying her family all being gathered together.

Having been diagnosed over 15 years ago with stage 4 lung cancer, everyone knew Jeannine as the toughest lady around, that never complained and always reminded others that life is wonderful! Jeannine fought for her family for 15 years with a smile on her face, Woodbridge in her hand and a loving heart that was always ready to offer a helping hand.

If Jeannine was not entertaining her family, you could find her watching her beloved Cubbies, birds or on zoom calls with her Bridge group best friends.

Jeannine will always be remembered for her kind heart, infectious laughter, and unwavering loyalty. She had a zest for life and will always be an example of how to go through life as a loving and giving person.

Jeannine’s passing leaves a void in the lives of all who loved her, but her memory will be cherished forever. Her family and friends take comfort in knowing that she is now at peace, reunited with loved ones who have gone before her.
