Jennie V. Dudziak

d. October 13, 2016

Visitation for Jennie V. Dudziak (nee Knych), 98, of Palatine, will be held Sunday, October 16, 2016, from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Highway, Palatine.  Jennie will lie in state, Monday, October 17, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Mass, 10:30 a.m. at the St. Joseph Home for the Elderly, 80 W. Northwest Hwy., Palatine.  The Interment will be in St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine.

Jennie was born to John and Katherine (Tworek) Knych on June 29, 1918 in Chicago, one of nine children.  On November 25, 1939 she married Joseph Dudziak and that 40 year union brought forth five children.  Joseph passed away on April 27, 1979.  Jennie lived at the St. Joseph Home for the Elderly for 14 years; attending mass, making rosaries, crocheting, and reading.  She enjoyed playing BINGO and taught other residents her crocheting skills.  On October 13, 2016, Jennie passed gently and peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, as the Little Sisters of the Poor softly sang her through the gates of heaven.

There are choirs singing in your head.
If you listen, you will hear the music.
It is the song of angels.
Pay no attention to the sounds of the world.
They are just noises, and even when
added up all together
they have no value, make no sense.
Strain to hear the song of angels.
Listen to the melody within your soul.
– Neale Donald Walsch
