Jerilyn Ruth Fergus

Visitation for Jerilyn Ruth Fergus (nee Towns), 82, of Hoffman Estates, will be from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, April 1, 2024, at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 415 S. Buesching Road, Lake Zurich. Family and Friends will meet directly at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 33 S. Buesching Road for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 2, 2024. The Interment will follow at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Cemetery, Palatine.

Jeri was born in Oak Park, IL on March 20, 1942, to Roby and Fern Towns. She passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, March 26, 2024.

Jeri was the beloved wife of Austin “Mike” Fergus for 60 years; loving mother of Kathleen Guenther, Cynthia (Jeffrey) Buzzelli, and Michael (Jennifer) Fergus; cherished grandmother of Allyssa, Joseph, Brianne (Ian), Ryan, Mark, Matthew, Nicholas, Natalie, and Michael. She is also survived by many close friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Charlene Welch; and son-in-law, Robert Guenther.
