Jo Anna T. Carnesecchi

Visitation for Jo Anna T. Carnesecchi, 69, a resident of Palatine since 1993 formerly of Rolling Meadows, will be held on Wednesday, September 30th, 2015 from 4:00PM until 8:00PM at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Hwy., Palatine.  Services will begin with prayers at 9:15AM on Thursday, October 1, 2015 at the funeral home proceeding to St. Colette Catholic Church, 3900 S. Meadow Drive, Rolling Meadows, for the Funeral Mass at 10:00AM.  An Interment will follow at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine.

Joanna passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 27, 2015 at her home with her family by her side after fighting a courageous battle with cancer.

Jo Anna was born on September 5, 1946 in Chicago, IL the daughter of the late Joseph and Grace (nee Shank) Rocco and passed away on Sunday, September 27, 2015.

JoAnna served many years in the medical field working at Lutheran General and Alexian Brothers Hospitals.  She was a member of the Rolling Meadows Senior Center where she enjoyed being a part of the Senior Sewing Group.  Jo Anna will be remembered as being a loving, kind and devoted woman whose life touched many people.

Beloved wife of 43 years of Vito Carnesecchi; loving mother of Anthony J. (Melanie nee: Maccanico) Carnesecchi and Joseph P. Carnesecchi; cherished grandmother of Elizabeth Autum Carnesecchi; treasured daughter of Grace V. Rocco; fond sister of Carroll (Edward) Burchert; sister in law of  Jean (late George) Paradies, Anthony (Sandy nee: Bobowski) Carnesecchi and the late Mickey Carnesecchi and late Joan McLaughlin; aunt of many nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews; also preceded in death by her in laws Ovidio and Jennie (nee Demaio) Carnesecchi.
