Joan E. Mccoy

Visitation for Joan “Joni” E. McCoy will be Monday, September 15, 2014 from 3:00pm to 8:00pm at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 415 S. Buesching Road, Lake Zurich.  Prayers will be said 9:30 am Tuesday, also at the funeral home, proceeding to St. Francis de Sales Church  33 S. Buesching Road, Lake Zurich for Mass at 10:00am.  Interment will follow in St. Matthew Lutheran Cemetery, Hawthorn Woods.

Joni passed away peacefully with her loving husband of 59 years, Ken, by her side, at the Infinity Hospice Facility in Las Vegas Nevada.

She was born December 22, 1938 in Chicago to Harry and Josephine Nichols. Joan was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her mother, father, and brother, John Nichols.   She will be missed tremendously by her children Debbie (T.J.) Tyree, Ken Jr. (Nancy) McCoy, Cheryl McCoy, and Patrick (Nancy) McCoy; her grandchildren Katrina, Shannon, Angel, Anthony, Brittney, Josh, Kim, Gina, Annie, Nick, and Lea; and her great grandchildren Samantha, Tommy, Jason, Brandi, Taylor, Reece, Madyson, Dylan, and Sydney.
