Joan I. (Nee O’Brien) Mooney

The Visitation for Joan I. (nee O’Brien) Mooney, 88, formerly of Oak Park, will be held on Wednesday, July 29, 2015 from 9:00AM until the time of the Funeral Service, 11:00AM at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Hwy., Palatine.  The Interment will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Hillside, IL.

Joan was born on September 1, 1926 in Chicago, IL the daughter of the late Dr. Vincent and Mary (nee Cavanaugh) O’Brien and passed away on Saturday, July 25, 2015.

Beloved mother of Liz (Rich) Nowak, Maureen (Steve) Brand, and Jackie Mooney-Orme; cherished grandmother of Don Joseph “D.J.” (Kim Groat) and Cassie Orme; great grandmother of Payton Elizabeth Orme; dear sister of Vincent “Buzz” (Pat) O’Brien; fond aunt of Patti (Dave) Leyerle, Michael (Laura) O’Brien, David (Brenda) O’Brien; also surviving are great nieces and great nephews.
