A Memorial Service for Joan W. Lynch (nee Watson), 89, of Palatine since 1957, will be held on Monday, July 26, 2021 at 11:30 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church, 2515 Palatine Road, Inverness. Inurnment will follow at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine. Joan was born September 21, 1931 in Chicago. She was born in to eternal life on January 18, 2021, at home, in Palatine.
Joan was the beloved wife of 64 years to the late John Vincent “Jack” Lynch; loving mother of Janet (Jeff) Woolley, John (Maribeth) Lynch, James Lynch and Joseph (Jeanine) Lynch; loving grandmother of Sarah (David) Diorio, Joseph Lynch (Emily), Jack (Brittany) Lynch, Sean (Joanna) Lynch, Elizabeth (Brad) Bingham, Emily Lynch, Abigail Lynch, and Margaret Lynch; loving great-grandmother of Anna Diorio, Sophia Lynch, Oliver Lynch, Cora Diorio, Brian Lynch, and Charlotte Lynch; dear daughter of the late William and Dorothy (nee Morris) Watson; fond sister of William Lynch (Cathy).

Joan started her career as a nurse at St. Anne’s Hospital in 1952 and continued to provide care as a nurse at Northwest Community Hospital, and Barat College. She was dedicated to being a mother, helper, and friend. She was involved at Holy Family Parish and in her community. Her love of family was her greatest gift to all of us.
