John C. Marek

Visitation for John Christopher Marek, 60, of Lake Zurich, since 1983, formerly of Arlington Heights, will begin at 12:00 p.m. until the time of the Memorial Service, 1:00 p.m. Saturday, August 19, 2017 at St. Peter United Church of Christ, 47 Church St., Lake Zurich.  Reverend Ruth Farrell will be officiating.

John was born January 27, 1957 in Oak Park, IL and passed away on August 12, 2017, at home surrounded by his family.

He was the beloved husband of Cynthia C. Marek (nee Schultheis) for 39 years; loving father of Christopher (Angie) Marek, and Nicole Marek; proud and loving grandfather of Jake Marek and Mason Marek, and pet Bailey; beloved brother of Karen (Terry) Robinson, Janet Marek, Claudia Rallis (Dan Broderick); loving brother-in-law to many; fond uncle and great uncle to many nieces and nephews; and dear and humorous friend to many.

John was preceded in death by his loving parents, Walter and Lorraine Marek (nee Sullivan) and his brother Greg Marek.
