John J. Porter

Visitation for John J. Porter, 92, of Palatine, will be held Monday, November 3, 2014 from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Mass, 10:30 a.m. at the St. Joseph Home for the Elderly, 80 W. Northwest Highway, Palatine, IL 60067.  Interment will follow with full military honors, 2:00 p.m. at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, 20953 W. Hoff Road, Elwood, IL 60421.

John was born October 3, 1922 in Chicago, and he passed away Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at Midwest Hospice in Northwest Community Hospital, Arlington Heights.

John was a WWII U.S. Army Veteran.

Survivors include many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated to the Little Sisters of the Poor, C/O the St. Joseph Home for the Elderly.
