John V. Lynch

A Memorial for John Vincent (Jack) Lynch, age 90, will be held on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at Holy Family Catholic Church, located at 2515 W. Palatine Road in Inverness, Illinois.  The family will greet friends at 10:00 AM followed by a Catholic Mass at 11:00.

Jack passed away peacefully at his home in Palatine, Illinois, on Thursday, March 8, 2018.  He was born on December 11, 1927 in Galesburg, Illinois to William and Helen (Graham) Lynch.

Jack attended St. Ignatius High School in Chicago, was a World War II Naval Veteran and attended the University of San Francisco.  He enjoyed a 43-year career with the Kraft Foods Company and was a member of the Holy Family Parish Council.

In 1953 he married the love of his life, Joan Dorothy (Watson) and together they raised 4 beautiful children.  They were married for 64 years.

He is survived by his loving wife, Joan; brother, Thomas; daughter, Janet Woolley (Jeff); sons, John (Maribeth), James and Joseph (Jeanine); eight wonderful grandchildren, Sarah Diorio (David), Joseph, Jack (Brittany), Sean (Joanna), Elizabeth Bingham (Brad) Emily, Abigail, Margaret; and a beautiful new great-granddaughter, Anna.
