John W. Bruns

Visitation for John W. Bruns, 60, of Palatine, will be from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Sunday, January 6, 2019 at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Hwy, Palatine. Funeral Services will be held, 11:00 AM on Monday, January 7, 2018 also at funeral home. An Interment will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Palatine.

John was born on March 29, 1958 in Elgin, IL to Edwin and Bertha Bruns. He passed away on Tuesday, January 1, 2019 at Loyola Medical Center, Maywood.

John, a US Army veteran, will be remembered as an amazing husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. His passions included RC Racing, road trips, camping and farming.

John was the beloved husband of Marie “Toni” Bruns for 41 years. He is also survived by his son, Jeremiah W. (Ashley) Bruns; his grandson, Mason John; his sister, Kathleen (Ronald) Schrader; and numerous nieces and nephews.
