John W. Mcmanus

Visitation for John W.  “Jack” McManus, 82, of Palatine since 1969, will be held Monday, June 6, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Highway, Palatine.  Prayers will be said Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at 9:30 a.m. also at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home and then proceeding to St. Thomas of Villanova Catholic Church, 1201 E. Anderson Dr., Palatine, for the Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m.  The Interment will be held in St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine.

John was born February 3, 1934 in Brooklyn, New York, and he passed away June 4, 2016 in Arlington Heights, Illinois.

After graduating from St. John’s University and earning his CPA, John worked for many years in the insurance industry.  After retiring he became a real estate broker.  John was an avid traveler and visited more than 50 countries.  He was a passionate sports fan, enjoyed reading, but most of all he loved spending time with family and friends.  Jack was also a U.S. Army Veteran.

Beloved husband of the late Diana McManus; loving father of John (Debra) McManus and Diane (Frank) Oberlander; dear son of the late John and Alice McManus; loving partner of Joyce Hetzer.
