Jose L. Palacios

Visitation for Jose L. Palacios, 90, of Mundelein, will be from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, March 8, 2024, at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home. 415 S. Buesching Rd., Lake Zurich. Family and friends will meet at Santa Maria del Popolo, 16 N. Lake Street, Mundelein on Saturday, March 9, 2024, where the Visitation will continue from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. The Interment will follow at Avon Centre Cemetery, Grayslake.

Jose was born on August 18, 1933, to Ausencia Díaz. He passed away on Monday, March 4, 2024.

He was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend.  Jose was full of ideas and was always working on a new project.  He kept everyone smiling and laughing with his quick wit and sense of humor.

Jose was the beloved husband of the late, Rosa H. Palacios; loving father of; Jesse Palacios, Celia Uvaldo (Hector), Juan Palacios (Malena), Beatriz Corral (Luis), Rosie Palacios (Jorge), Lupe Zulayka (Bob), Ofelia Palacios, Sandra Palacios, and Rebecca Palacios (Miguel); grandfather of 19; great grandfather of 33.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosa H. Palacios; mother, Ausencia Díaz; and daughter-in-law, Christine “Tina” Palacios.
