Memorial Visitation for Joseph Mark Deutsch, 35, of Palatine, will be held Sunday, July 14, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Highway, Palatine.
Joe was born July 3, 1989, in Park Ridge and passed away unexpectedly, July 7, 2024, in Palatine.
Joe was the beloved son of Cynthia L. Deutsch and Mark L. Deutsch; loved brother of Brian Deutsch and Kristin (Ryan) Christopoulos; much loved fun Uncle of Crosby and Finnan.
Joe’s favorite interests included listening to audiobooks, country music, and heavy metal music, watching the Cubs, Patriots (only the Tom Brady era only), and Formula 1 Racing, eating Taco Bell and Chipotle, working out, any humor relating to bodily functions, drinking beer, being with his family, and playing with his nephews.
In more recent years, he found his way into the HVAC field and was working as a warehouse technician for an HVAC supply company. He really loved his job, and his coworkers are quoted as calling him a hard worker and a pleasure to be around. Joe took a lot of pride in his work.
Though he recently lost his battle with mental illness, he fought hard against it for most of his life. He was a wonderful, beloved member of his family and will be missed. We hope that he has found nothing but peace and comfort now that he has left us.
In lieu of flowers, memorials will be appreciated to the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline (988lifeline.org) and The National Association for Mental Illness (donate.nami.org).
