Joseph J. Maro III passed away unexpectedly in his hometown of Inverness, IL on March 13, 2021. Born April 9, 1945 in Alabama, Joe went on to accomplish many things in his life; College graduate, Army veteran, successful entrepreneur and businessman, road-trip aficionado and impromptu vocalist when a favorite song came on the radio. But most importantly marrying his soulmate Kathleen and raising a family was his proudest achievement and brought him the most happiness. He greatly enjoyed the rewards of a life

well lived and did not take any of it for granted. Joe will be remembered by family and friends as a devoted husband, proud father and grandfather and resilient businessman with an optimistic disposition. It was an honor to have known him and be a part of his remarkable life. “Better, better, every day in every way.”

Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and A. Kathleen; his brother, Eugene and his daughter-in-law, Amber.

He is survived by his beloved “girlfriend”/wife, Kathleen and their five children, Nathan (Leslie) Maro, Daniel (Jen) Maro, Matthew Maro, Elizabeth (Eric) Jensen and Victoria (Josh) Osmer; eight grandchildren Ethan, Lauren, Makayla, Liam, Fiona, Helena, Norah, and Claire; His sister, Marsha (Earnie) Giles; sister-in-law, Alice Maro; brother-in-law, Kurt (Anne) Revolinski and sister-in-law, Karen (Tom) Boggess; as well as many dearly loved nieces and nephews.
