Josephine A. Pontillo

Visitation for Josephine Anne Pontillo (nee Carbonaro), 97, of Orlando, Florida, will be held Wednesday, May 31, 2023, from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m., at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 415 S. Buesching Road, Lake Zurich. Prayers will be said on Thursday, June 1, 2023, at 9:30 a.m. also at the Funeral Home, and proceeding to St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 33 S. Buesching Road, Lake Zurich for a 10:00 a.m. Funeral Mass.  An Entombment will follow at All Saints Cemetery, Des Plaines.

Josephine was born July 20, 1925, in Chicago, and she passed away May 21, 2023, in Orlando.

Josephine married Eugene James Pontillo, Jr. on August 2, 1947, and they were happily married for 65 years.

Josephine is lovingly remembered by her 2 daughters, Jean Palmby and RoseAnne Pontillo; her grandchildren, Michael and Brandon Lemmons, Jason and Caitlyn Palmby, and Grant and Gannon Smith; her great grandchildren, Michael, Amber, Megan, Kendal, Dylan, Elly, and Carter Lemmons, and Wyatt and Lilly Palmby; her sister, Margaret Carbonaro, and the rest of her family and friends.

Josephine is preceded in death by her husband, Eugene; parents Vito Carbonaro and Rose Raimondi; brother, John Carbonaro; sister, Rita Ferencak, daughter, Theresa Lemmons; and grandson, Nicholas Lemmons.

In lieu of flowers, memorials will be appreciated to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
