Judith A. Reilly

A Memorial Visitation for Judith Anne Reilly (nee Hudek), 64, of Fox River Grove since 1990, will be held Saturday, August 26, 2023, from 12:15 p.m. until the time of the Funeral Mass at 2:00 p.m. at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 33 S. Buesching Road, Lake Zurich. The Interment will be private.

Judith was born August 3, 1959, in Hamilton Ohio, and passed away August 20, 2023, at home in Fox River Grove, Illinois.

Judith was the beloved wife of Michael T. Reilly; dear daughter of the late John and Mary Anne (nee Livernois) Hudek; fond sister of John (Herma) Hudek, Joanne (Nicholas) Dole, Jeanette (Mark) Flum, James (Mary Beth) Hudek and Julia (Kenneth) Walker; dear sister-in-law of Richard (Joyce) Reilly, Kathy Reilly, and Mary (Jerome) Bastien; fond aunt of many nieces and nephews.

Judy was class of 1977 valedictorian at Stephen T. Badin Catholic high school in Hamilton, Ohio and a graduate of Marquette University, and Northwestern University Dental School. She was a member of Phi Beta Kappa national liberal arts honor society and Omicron Kappa Upsilon national dental honor society. Judy served her country in the United States Navy as a first lieutenant in the dental corps, and was in private dental practice in Cary, IL with her husband, Mike. She was a member of St. Francis de Sales parish, where she was a volunteer with the arts and environment committee and was very active with adult education and evangelization. In her spare time, she enjoyed quilting, gardening, competing in triathlons and marathons, and travel. She was a regular in the lap pool at the Foglia YMCA, and also enjoyed open water swimming in Bang’s Lake and with the Otters in Lake Zurich.

In lieu of flowers, memorials will be appreciated to the Sandra J. Schulze American Cancer Society Hope Lodge, Rochester Minnesota.
