Judith J. Plegge

Visitation for Judith J. Plegge, of Palatine, will be from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Thursday, July 27, 2023, at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Hwy., Palatine. Visitation will continue on Friday, July 28, 2023, from 10:00 AM until the time of Funeral Service at 11:00 AM at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 1190 N. Hicks Road, Palatine, Illinois. The Interment will be private.

Judith “Judy” was born on February 16, 1936, in Omaha, Nebraska to Richard and Eulalia Williams. She was the youngest of five children; June, Dick, Alice and Donna (who all preceded her in death).  Following several moves, the family settled in Chicago, where she met her future husband while a student at Austin High School.

She passed away on Friday, July 21, 2023, at Journey Care Hospice in Arlington Heights after a brief illness.

Judy was the beloved wife of the late Charles Larry Plegge for 65 years; loving mother of Richard (Linda) Plegge and Dennis (Sharon) Plegge, who preceded her in death; dear grandmother of Matthew (Haley) Plegge and Daniel Giannone; aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Along with her husband, Judy and Larry were the best in-laws anyone could have wished for and now they are together again but will be missed by many.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made, in her name, to Phil’s Friends, 213 W. Wesley St., Wheaton, IL 60187 or Prince of Peace Lutheran Church.
