A Celebration of Julian Paul McNichols’s Life, is planned for this Summer.
Julian was born May 26, 1982 in Winfield, Illinois. He passed away Friday, February 19, 2021 following a short illness.
A long-time resident of the northwest suburbs, most recently Rolling Meadows, Illinois where he lived the past 20 years with his mother, Nadine Robards and step father, James Thompson.
Julian attended Kirk School in Palatine for 15 years, graduating in 2003. After graduation, Julian attended the work program at Shore Lois Lloyd Center in Evanston. After that, he was at the Clearbrook Center in Rolling Meadows. Julian enjoyed many NWSRA programs, especially fishing. His lifelong love of all aquatic creatures made going to the Shedd Aquarium a special and favorite destination during the summer months. He loved all animals, and watching Animal Planet on TV. He had dogs and cats throughout his life that were some of his best furry friends. He also loved watching football, baseball and hockey with his parents. He was a big Bears fan!
Julian had a cheerful heart and never really spent an unhappy day. He loved being with his family and the many friends he made throughout the years at school and his recreation programs.
Julian was adored by his family and will be missed so much, but his beautiful and bright spirit lives on with them. Hundreds of his mother’s friends across social media feel as if they have known him over the years and are also feeling the loss.
Julian is survived by his mother Nadine Robards; stepfather, James Thompson; aunts, Alisa (Tom Hammerton) Robards and Joy (McNichols) Hayes; and cousins, Blake (Jamison) Hammerton, and Kim (Mike Schultz) Hammerton.
Julian was preceded in death by his father, Michael McNichols, and his nonny, Phyllis Harris.
Donations can be made in Julian’s name to Kirk School 520 S. Plum Grove Road, Palatine, Illinois 60067.
