Julie Ann Orr Ranalli

A memorial visitation for Julie Anne Orr Ranalli, 66, of Palatine, will be held on Saturday, December 23^rd, 2023 from 10:00 am until the time of the memorial service at 2:00 pm at Ahlgrim Family Funeral Services, 201 N. Northwest Highway, Palatine. A funeral mass will be said at 10:00 am on Saturday January 6, 2024 at St. Catherine’s Parish, 38 N. Austin Blvd. Oak Park. Interment will be private.

Julie held two Masters degrees; one for early childhood education, one for special education. She was a former director of the early childhood education at then Rosary College (now Dominican University). She was the owner/director of Kaleidoscope Child Development Center in Oak Park. She also taught at St. Philomena school in Chicago and St Matthews School in Glendale Heights.

Julie is survived by her children Amy Ranalli (Nick Mirocha) and Michael Ranalli (Melissa Kawaguchi); siblings Joe (Beth) Orr and Anne (Darald) Donnell. Beloved Aunt to Marvin (Natalie) Donnell, Timothy Orr, Bradley Donnell, Allison (Joe) McCann, Daniel (Meghan) Orr, Payton Anthony Donnell.

She is preceded in death by her parents Edwin J and Helen Marie Orr, and Grandmother, the Honorable Helen J Kelleher.
