Julio N. Carrera

Visitation for Julio N. Carrera, 91, of Palatine, will be held from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Hwy., Palatine. Prayers will be said on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, at 9:30 AM also at the funeral home, and process to St. Theresa Catholic Church, 465 N. Benton St., Palatine for the Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM. Entombment will follow at All Saints Catholic Cemetery, Des Plaines.

Julio was born on December 8, 1932, in Ecuador, South America. He passed away at home on Friday, August 23, 2024.

Julio was the beloved husband of Rosa Carrera; loving father of Patrick (Doris), Marlene Carrera, Carlos, Maritza (Nick) Cortese; cherished grandfather of Stephanie (Iliia Krastev), Natalie, Michael, Jennifer, Veronica, Zachary, Derek Julian, Jaelyn, Dominik.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Luz Maria Carrera Iler.
