Kathleen M. Mckinney

Visitation for Kathleen Mary McKinney (nee O’Hare), 82, of Palatine, Hunting Ridge Homeowners Association, since 1972, will be held Saturday, June 10, 2017, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Service, 12:00 p.m. at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Service, 201 N. Northwest Highway, Palatine.  The Interment will be in St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine.  Reverend John Scott will officiate.

Kathleen was born July 10, 1934 in East Orange, NJ, and passed away June 7, 2017 in Schaumburg, IL.

Beloved wife of the late Dean B. McKinney; loving mother of Susan McKinney, David McKinney, Dean McKinney, Paul (Lori) McKinney and Amy (Scott) Rooke; loving grandmother of Christopher, Matthew, Patrick, Brendan, Hailey, Will, Charlie and Sean; dear daughter of the late Charles and Catherine (nee Rehnberg) O’Hare; fond sister of Carol Zimmerman and the late Charles O’Hare; loving aunt of Beth, Laura and Amy.

Kathy derived much joy from her volunteer work in the community both at the Bridge Youth and Family services and for School District 15 at Sanborn and Hunting Ridge Schools.  In addition to loving her family, friends and volunteer work, she was an avid gardener.
